Now that the flowers and chocolate are over
- or the expectations for flowers and chocolate -
and I hope you had a lovely Valentine's Day!

Let's get REAL about LOVE.

Sometimes love is the
easiest,
purest,
most graceful & noble thing
on planet earth.

And  other times love is the
most challenging,
trying,
difficult
task and calling of being human.

Love is both a feeling AND an action word.

And we know how challenging it can be to keep our feelings and our actions positive and in the love.
Staying in the love with our loved ones is hard work.

One of the #1 obstacles to staying in the love all year round is letting go of the need to be right.

One of my grad school professors always used to say,

"You can be right or you can be in the love."

* I repeat this to myself constantly to help me let go of my need to be right with all my loved ones.

* I repeat this to myself after I've forgotten this,  and let go of the love just to prove my point or be right.

And I don't know about you, but I sure love to be right - so this is some ongoing work right here. :)

So as you begin this next week in the life of you...
As you step into life post V Day...
Walking the path of many ups and downs that is every day....

How can you can LET GO of the need to be RIGHT
with your loved ones,

so you can STAY IN the LOVE?

You Got This Staying in the Love

    Mama Megan

Hi friends,  I write from the heart to tell my life story, and the story of those in my neighborhood called life. Research shows that our children's emotional & mental health is contingent upon us parents being able to tell our life story, or "coherent narrative."  This is my coherent narrative, my life story in the making, with some of what I love in life too. My goal is to share my life in a way that is real, uplifting & positive- sometimes serious, sometimes fun. In my practice, I inspire parents to empowerment through reclaiming our life stories and learning respectful discipline. My work is my offering to our children- our future. Wishing you all a happy family!
