on solitude & introspection
I love birthdays
They are my New Year
Time to pause and reflect
To celebrate how I've grown in the last 365 days
Hope, goals, aspirations for the coming year
More than ever
Going beyond words
Time in the woods
The introvert in me was kicking in
Getting excited for #38
Getting into the prime of me
I also wanted to create a vision board for this next year of life.
My health coach, Dawn said her vision board helps manifests her dreams & goals.
Just learning of Soul Collage, a friend & mentor sent me the website right before my birthday.
So, you know what time is was?
Time to get my art on
Time to see
Those dreams of mine
Come down to earth
Bring out the gold
Time to connect with my mom
Hear her whisperings
In my art
My visions for the year
Share with her
What's going on with me
To her wisdom
I started making my plan. Then Life got involved.
Oh, you are asking for some Solitude?
How about pink eye?
How about no power for 52 hours?
And the birthday celebration
Of solitude & introspection
I got everything I wanted.
Just not how I was expecting it.
Isn't that how life works?
Exactly what I needed
In the woods
With my boy
A beautiful birthday
What I needed
Feeling extra thankful for water that runs
Would you like to see my birthday gifts?
Journaling by Christmas candles, inspired by Bliss & Balance.
Love all the memories held in each of these treasurers, and in little notes from Christmas elves.
Painting my vision board at dusk with the last bit of daylight. Pink! Silver! We are out of gold painting. It's a spiral/rose shape with some big circles of silver glitter. Feeling happy already.
My birthday cake on top of magazine images I clipped for the vision board.
It's still perplexing to me why angry, deprived, sad looking women are considered beautiful in the fashion world? Anyways...
All of our summer fruit defrosted made a lovely raw birthday cake, reminiscent of something my sister would have made, and fulfilling my son's wishes that I get to have a cake!
Visions of my inner world.
And snap! just like that. After 52 hours, the power came back on in time for me to glue.
Images of the heart. How I ended my birthday, and begin this next year of my life.
Open Your Heart: one of my goals for the year. Always.
May all our wishes come true
May we have time to slow down
Enjoy our lives
We are all artists
Connect with our heartbeats
Be thankful for the blessings of our lives
Hiding in the unexpected
May we live our Hearts' dreams
Even when life is difficult
May you, me, all of us
Reclaim our lives
Happy end of Live Our Purpose 2014
Hi friends, I write from the heart to tell my life story, and the story of those in my neighborhood called life. Research shows that our children's emotional & mental health is contingent upon us parents being able to tell our life story, or "coherent narrative." This is my coherent narrative, my life story in the making, with some of what I love in life too. My goal is to share my life in a way that is real, uplifting & positive- sometimes serious, sometimes fun. In my practice, I inspire parents to empowerment through reclaiming our life stories and learning respectful discipline. My work is my offering to our children- our future. Wishing you all a happy family!
